Sheer silk organza cued the background for festive, rich, allover embroidery on the “whirly” skirt silhouette. It has a fitted bodice, cinched waist and all-around shirring that flows into a large and dramatic skirt.

 

Gentlemen enjoyed new, lightened-up colors, especially in summer. Cream, light blue, tan, and silver-grey tailored suits were made in textured “tropical weight” fabrics such as linen, seersucker, worsted wool and synthetic blends.
