Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is served by ten airlines with non-stop flights from twenty destinations. The Hotel is just thirteen miles away. Taxi, ride sharing and shuttles average $20 to $50 per trip.

The Hotel is located in the heart of the Coachella Valley and is convenient to downtown Palm Springs, the aerial Tramway and world-class shopping and dining. Best of all, the Palm Desert area is a short drive from many Southern California cities and airports to extend your vacation!

NORTH of Hotel: The Desert Springs Mall: Chase Bank, Florist, Ralph’s (grocery store), Rite Aid (pharmacy), Cleaners and Sports Clips. There are also dining options within the parking lot of the mall, which include Morton’s Steakhouse and Cork Tree.

SOUTH of Hotel:  US Post Office, Avis Car Rental and CJ’s Diner.

Climate - Outside: It is summer in the desert and it will be hot outside during our event dates! Locals know to adjust their outdoor activities in summer by starting early in the day or late evening. The temperature will peak from noon till around 9pm. From Tom Vova, Publisher of Desert Magazine:

“One of the more interesting sites in our Valley during the summer occurs in the wee hours before the sun has peaked over the San Bernardino Mountains. On the bike loop that winds through Old Las Palmas, on the Lykken Trail, on the Bump and Grind in Palm Desert, on the trail from La Quinta Cove to Lake Cahuilla, and all along Highway 111, there are people out and about. There are senior walking groups, dog walkers, and serious runners. There are tourists on beach bikes and cyclists. While the streets may be all but deserted by noon, the nocturnal hours are filled with activity”.

Climate - Hotel: The Hotel keeps the temperature cool inside! It is even cooler in hallways and corridors, so bring a light jacket for room shopping!
